the drive to the hotel
FINALLY!!!!!! 24hrs later. i arrived at 6pm bergen time. it is 9hrs. ahead from the west coast. i had a great flight. LA to chicago to copenhagen to bergen. i slept all the way. SAS(scandinavian airlines) rocks!!! for economy class the seats were comfy. i had my own tv. the food was great. they give you hot bread. a hot towel, a yummy chocolate treat and the best part FIRST ROUND OF LIQUOR IS FREE :)

Copenhagen airport is clean. easy to get around. however, if you have 2hr layover. they don't view it on the monitor til an hour before you board. you are in limbo. you don't know which terminal to go. that would be a stressful situation if you have never been there before.

Bergen airport is organized and clean. the drive to our hotel, radisson SAS was gorgeous. it was a 20mins drvie.
bergen reminds me of vancover, canada and anchorage, AK. it is about 60 degrees.  the hotel is located in the middle of the city centre. there is a TGI fridays next door.....YUCK :P :P

mum and i had dinner to the hotel called "dickens". i had bergen soup. pickled herring and my mum had mussels.

after dinner, i walked around the city. i took pictures on the buildings. the wharf is near. cobblestone roads. the sun was setting at 9pm. i wanted to see the city more. it was getting cold. i went to a mcdonald's. a big mac is 25 kroners. which is almost a $4 burger eeeeeeeeeeeeek :P

looking forward til tomarrow. i would like see the view of bergen from a mountain. gonna check out more of the city. gonna play it by ear. we got a 5:30am wake up call EEEEEEEEEEEEEK :P

As i look at my map of all the towns .
the routes does not make sense. i tried fixing it and it got worse. it looks like the boat is not following the routes. i wanted to preset my stops. i was curious to see what the route looks. it all looks like spaghetti to me.  :P  woo hoo leaving a 115 weather to a 40 degree weather.  looking forward to meet new people and hopefully see some wildlife on the way :D
