Pont du Gard Aquaduct

Today was the drive from Lyon to Barcelona... long long long day.  Our first stop was Pont de Gard, about 2,000 years onld.  It was an aqueduct built by the Romans to get fresh water across the Gard River.  They built it without using cement or mortar, and it was freaking awesome.  Cool pictures, but the hotel computer won't let us upload.  Next, we stopped just inside the border of spain.  I had a confrontation with the counter girl because she wanted me to give her exact change and i didn't know what she was saying.  after that, we finally FINALLY made it to Barcelona.  We stopped first at the Sagrada Familia built by Antoni Gaudi, it was amazing.

look it up if you want and let me know if you think the guy was on drugs.  After that we made it to the hotel (much nicer than any of the others so far, marble bathrooms, wood floor, AC) checked in and had dinner (now that was gross).  On the way to the first bar, some spanish men harassed kate and I and I replied with "did you hear what those mexicans said to us?"  Most of the group met up to go out to the Black Sheep, a little sangria bar.  the sangria was flowing and everyone was feeling good when we left to the fairy bar, it was neat with trees and a waterfall.  it closed early and we only had time to get one drink in.  after the fairy bar, we took taxis down to port olympico to get drinks at a club.  they let us in for free, but we weren't cool enough to get into the special part that had strawberries.  we stayed until about 3 when it closed and took another taxi back to the hotel.  kate harassed the taxi driver and asked him how to say inappropriate things in spanish... we'll leave it to your imagination as to what she asked, but one of them involved pen and paper and diagrams.  made it home and went to bed... long long day.
