We woke up this morning and took a ferry to the beautiful island of Capri!  Wow, it was beautiful.  No wonder it is has the well deserved reputation as the garden of eden!  The water was clear blue and you could basically see to the bottom!  The first thing we did when we got there was hop on a boat that would bring us out to the Blue Grotto.  Once you get out to the grotto you have to change boats into a small rowboat that holds about 4 people plus the rower.  To get into the grotto, you have to duck down in the boat to fit through a small hole in the side of the cliff and once you get in, all you can say is WOW!  The cave is bathed in iridecent blue light that shines in from under the rocks and it just glows!  It was absolutly amazing!  After the grotto we went to have lunch and do a little junk shopping before catching our ferry back to Italy and the city of Sorrento.  We had dinner at a restaurant that overlooked the water and Mount Vesuvius.  The food was good but the unlimited wine supply was even better.  The restarant even had a shop dog named Belina.  After dinner we checked into the hotel and decided it would  be  a good idea to go swimming in the ocean.  Do images of Jaws pop in your head?  Well we did it anyway.  The water was nice even though the sand was black.  We got back to the hotel and sadly got black sand everywhere, sorry housekeeping!  -Kate
