Paradise Beach in Mykonos
We took the bus into town early today to rent 4-wheelers to go explore the beautiful island of Mykonos
. Rach and I rode on one that we named Speras and she had a really hard time keeping up with Lindsay and Julia's 4-wheeler, Adonkus. We rode all over the island and even on unfinished roads. The unfinished road part sucked. We were covered in tar that had kicked up from our tires, it was horrible but actually really funny, especially since we had to go back through it to get back. We saw most of the beaches, Paradise, Super Paradise and more that I don't remember the names of. All the beaches were absolutly amazing! We stopped at a few shops along the way.
Starbucks in Greece. Who´d have thought.
One had beautiful shell windchimes and organic looking tables and chairs but best of all it had a shop dog. She was so cute and just a puppy who wanted all of our attention. I think we all wanted to take her home with us. We also went to Starbucks because Lindsay wanted it. Sweetie, you can get Starbucks at home! You're in GREECE for goodness sake! The stop wasn't a complete waste though, next door to Starbucks was a bookstore that had an English Fiction section... HEAVEN! I think we were all excited to get new books. They even had the recent issue of Time Magazine with Eton on the front. I was super pumped. We ended up going back into Mykonos town to return our wheels even though they rent them for 24-hours but if we kept them we would have had to wake up early the next day and I didn't really see that happening. We went and picked up Julia's ring and took a cab back to the resort for included dinner, (fat kids don't skip free meals). We had a couple drinks by the pool playing cards with Mike before calling it a night to go pack our bags and prepare to leave paradise in the morning. Love y'all -Kate
