Such a seedy city

Anne Frank House

Today so far:  saw a diamond cutting demo but all the settings they had them in were tacky.  Apparently the Netherlands is known for its diamond cutting.  Went to Anne Frank's house.  It wasn't as sad as I expected it to be but it was crazy hot.  I thought I was going to pass out.  It was rather interesting to do though.  When I get home I'm going to need to re-read her diary (hint hint mom, I need the book).  After that Rachel wanted some comfort food so we headed to good ole Micky Ds.  "It tastes like home."  -Kate

Later we headed to the Grasshopper for a beer and meet two soldiers from Perth, Australia.  They'd been in France sleeping in tents and reenacting a war.  Doesn't sound like much of a holiday to me.  We caught the coach back to the hotel to get changed for dinner and then it was off to our canal cruise through Amsterdam.  I love cruises where all drinks are included!  Everyone had a really good time and we headed back to the hotel bar for more drinks.  It was a rather late night for me, whoops.  Thank goodness we're leaving Amsterdam tomorrow.  I don't think I would ever come back here.  If I did drugs or wanted a prostitue maybe but that's not my scene.  The postcards from Holland are so pretty but the city is the complete oppisite. -Kate
