Land of the Gods
Today we're finally in Greece! Home of the Gods and 11 million Greeks. Tourism accounts for 15% of thier national income so we're just helping them out a little more. Today we say the Acropolis and the Parthanon in a quick tour of the city. Sadly a lot of it was reconstructions but it was neat to see what things looked like back in the day once you look past the scaffolding. We also stopped at the site of the old Olympic Stadium. It's wicked hot down here so staying indoors is a fabulous idea. We're about to head off to eat dinner at some Greek restaurant, maybe a little Greek dancing.
Oh yeah, forgot to add: We stopped at the Korinth Canal on the way to Athens. It was built in 1893 so that boats could go through greece rather than going around or over the land (although i don't know how they would do that).
I'm making this one short because we leave early tomorrow morning (5:30 am!) to catch our ferry to the island of Mykonos!!! 3 days till my birthday!

After dinner we went to a little restaurant and there was a stray dog that we befriended. We named her Salty and she growled at nasty men that tried to talk to us.
