Random guy at border crossing from Greece into the unknown better known as Albania
We crossed the border into Albania. It took us two hours at the
border but we finally got our stamps. Albania is
interesting. It's the second poorest country in Europe. 70%
Muslim. Our first rest stop made me laugh... bugs, toliets were
holes in the floor, dirt floors, and everyone drives a Mercedes.
Albania's average income is only 2000 euro. wow. We drove
through unpaved roads and potholes to make it to our hotel. Wow,
I didn't expect such a nice hotel in a city like this! I give it
a 10! Dinner at the hotel was even good! After dinner we
took a short tour of the city on our way to the Buda-Bar. Totally
not our scene. You can smoke out of a hooka there. Um, no
thanks. We had a few drinks before heading back to the hotel with
Debs and Nathan. Yeah for early nights! -Kate
