DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!

SO EXCITED TO BE HERE! Bur cannot write a lot cause in that resort u can only use internet 20 minutes hehhee...but I am in a little cute islandddddd in the middle of anything..this places is awesome!!!! this hotel is beautiful! the weather is perfect...mmm!
Well, im back in Lima..gray Lima as we call it here..we are in winter and we have 94% of humidity!! we are like fishes now hahah!...and i was in Dominican Republic enjoying the sun!! buaa! wanna come back!!! Im so tired! i didn't sleep good and that plane was moving hard!
My hole trip to Dominican was pretty cool!
The airport is small and a dominican ask u what do u have in ur luggage..with his diferent spanish hard to understand for me, the accent is quite diferent, they were very friendly with me and i just passed that part straight and very quick:) Once there i was so happy to be so warm! in Lima i was freezing!

First day i went to Cabarete. .is a bohemian place..lots of bars near the sea to have drinks and eat...stores in the streets to buy souveniers...art in the street..and this place is well known internationally because they do international championships of wind surf there, is pretty windy the hole time but sunny, nice weather:)  I stayed in a hotel called Velero..it has a good location, it isn't cheap..but is worthy to be there and breakfast was included..but u can find for sure cheaper hotels..there are plenty of them everywhere! I strongly recommend a restaurant called 'OTRA COSA'..mmm! and believe me, is seriously OTRA COSA(means in English ANOTHER THING) delicious!! the food was excellent!and it was just few steps far away from my hotel..with a sea view. I asked for some shrimps hai style and they were soooo good! with a Kir to drink:)

Before Cabarete we went to Puerto plata to visit the ocean world and swim with the dolphins! I always wanted to do it!!!!! I LOVEE dolphins and it was soooo nice to be so close to them!! they gave me kisses. .i feed them..they made claps..jump close to my head..made funny sounds..i touched its belly..Is amazing how cutes those animals can be..very intelligents too :) I was happy there! That Ocean world is pretty cool..they have good shows of animals (i enjoyed a lot the sea lions show! they danced latin music! so funny! much better than the sea world in Miami), also u can swim with sharks(I didnt do it 'cause it was expensive and also because i prefer cute dolphins hehe..). Also they have private beaches..were u can take a bath with the dolphins or do snorkeling too:)
They have tigers and they have a white one..he is beauiful..and in certain point u can feed him, obviously there is a glass beween u and the animal but is impresive to see their huge teeth so close and feel how hard they push to have the meet!

After that we were ready to explore the cute island and the nicee hotel we were going to stay in! is Principe Bahia Cayo Levantado resort! This hotel they told me is the best that this chain has! and for sure it is! The hole island is the hotel!! is a little island and they preserved all the nature. ..is sooo relaxing to be there! I guess they bought the hole island! but wow! the view is beautiful! I did Catamaran..also took some scuba diving classes...enjoyed the beaches they had there!! water isn't light blue like in St Lucia or Antigua..the color is light green and is beautiful!! nature nature and naturee! I also ride the bike a little bit! it was nice to go around the island in bicicle hah! played bingo( i won a t-shirt) and saw the shows that the dominicans did:). But most of the time! JUST LAYED BACK IN THE BEACH! with my drinks:) enjoyingggg the island!!!!!!! We stayed there for 3 days..then we came back to Santo Domingo.

While we were driving I saw funny things..of the people of the little tows..they can fit 5 people in a little moto!a hole family..including the little baby in the air!!or people in the top of a big car layed down using some leaves as a bed!

The spanish they use is kind of hard to understand for me. ..and Ispeak spanish, is my native language! but the pronunciation there is completely different!! haha it was fun not to understand!:) They change the 'R' for 'L' so..maybe they say MAL(means BAD) and they wanted to say MAR(means sea)!

I am dying..im soo tired..im going to bed and tomorrow ill write more and post some pics..i need to recover some sleep..gosh that plane was moving! and i am also getting ready for London!!

Another day!Well now i will continue:).. Once in Santo Domingo we went to Colonial Santo Domingo..they have churches..Colon house.some restaurants and stores..not a lot to see..its ok. Be careful with ur stuff...some locals can be agressive..don't show ur things..and don't wear fancy.. and be ready to be asked for coins and tips.
They have a Hard Rock Cafe there so I bought some Santo Domingo souveniers! After that we went to have lunch to a nice place that i dont remeber the name . ..they have a nice sea view..and is in the same road were the  Hilton and intercontinental are..is a very casual place..very tropical..don't forget to try ur Granadillo mixed with passion fruit juice! At night we decided to go to a restaurant that is very well known in Santo Domingo called Sophia to have  good dine, they have stronggg martinis! wow they are strong! and the food was ok..not big deal..and is expensive..:( so i dont recommend it.

Next day..I had to come back to Lima and I just had time to pack and to have my last Santo Domingo lunch in a place that is close to the airport in Boca Chica beach (they have also streets with stores and some resorts) near Pelican restaurant(that is well known but locals told us that the one we ate is better and they have good view with food to the bed services. .is nice).


Well, now Im in Lima! missing Dominican republic! they are lucky to live there! they have beautidul beaches everywhere!!! I didn't go to Punta Cana..hope to do it sometime later..but some people told me that Cayo Levantado is much better..punta Cana is more turistic with lots of people but if u want to enjoy the nature and quiet beaches Cayo levantado is the place!
We did it all by car..from Santo Domingo all North crossing the hole island to the other part of the island..Samana( in some months of the year u can see the whales! lots of them!)..the turning right and going around the middle of the island to be down again:) very nice!
