Runs by the beach

"Jack", our truck, on the desolate landscape along the Peruvian coast.

KERRY - After a nights sleep in the tent, which was actaully pretty comfy even without a roll-mat, we drove on to the coastal town of Puerta Inca. It was a really small place and we camped here on the beach.

The afternoon was spent relaxing by the sea - i did not venture in as it was really cold, but others who were much braver did. The boys played volleyball later on while us girlies watched or took advantage of the hot showers! (hot water is not always a given in South America so when you have it you need to make the most of it!)

In the evening Mateo and Steve prepared a great BBQ for us. My team was on cooking duty so helped with some of this, but we got off pretty lightly really. We made a campfire and toasted marshmallows for dessert. Some of the group headed to the hotel bar nearby for some Kareoke, but i stayed by the fire and later on John serenaded us with some tunes from his guitar.
