De Young Museum

We slept in today.  That was nice.  Car came over to the hotel and we drove over to the BART train to go into the city.  We took the train to the Civic Center and then took the bus into Golden Gate Park.  The weather here is great.  While its in the 100s in other parts of California, its in the 60s here...perfect for walking around the park.  There was a breast cancer walk going on, so the park was pretty busy. There was people everywhere.

The road through the park is closed during the weekend, so people were riding bikes and roller blading everywhere.  We watched a group of people skate for some time.  We also walked around the garden by the De Young museum.  The Golden Gate Park Band was playing a free concert, so we had music to accompany our walking.  We had lunch in the city and the girls did a little shopping.  Some 'ex-hippie' (his own words) tried to sell us a free city map.

We went back to the hotel for a nap.  Car's uncle invited us out for dinner at one of his favorite Italian places.  After we were full we were tired and went to bed early.
