Kindred Spirits Bed & Breakfast

Prince Edward Island Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I decided to trap myself in a car for 5 weeks with one friend who I'd be around 24/7. Don't worry. She lives. [under construction!]
This was an amazing bed and breakfast to stay in, in the quaint town of Cavendish. The staff were amazing and the rooms were great. The friendly atmosphere was felt in every area. There are two houses filled with rooms, as well as small cottages on the grounds for those with families or who want more privacy. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Anne of Green Gables House, and a few more minutes to L.M. Montgomery's grave site, as well as her house. The bed and breakfast also has a library of videos you can rent for free, including all the Anne of Green Gables movies in case you want to have a marathon before you visit the sites (ahem.. i didn't do that... ahem....).

The most fabulous part of staying at Kindred Spirits was the breakfasts! The staff make delicious breakfasts of scone, quiche, bacon and eggs and so much more! Tea and cookies are also available at 9pm for those who want to gather in the living room and get to know some of the other guests a little better.

Leaving was the hardest part. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!
Enjoying the porch on a warm sum...
For those of you who enjoy the Anne of Green Gables paraphernalia, this is the place to go! Better in the off season, although lacking costumed interpreters, if you're a fan of the books, you'll enjoy this replica of the book's setting. You can also enjoy a stroll along Lover's Lane.
