Province House

Charlottetown Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I decided to trap myself in a car for 5 weeks with one friend who I'd be around 24/7. Don't worry. She lives. [under construction!]
This is a great site to see for any Canadian. It is the setting of the Charlottetown Conference in 1864 where the idea was born to unite the Canadian provinces. You can take a look around the rooms where the Canadian leaders came together, and there is also a short film to watch outlining the process of Confederation.
Located in the visitor's centre, Founder's Hall holds a great exhibit educating visitors on the confederation of canada. A virtual reporter guides you on audio tour through the process in an entertaining way with videos and displays that make it hard for your mind to drift.

However, if you've already been to Province House or know quite a bit about confederation, this may be a repetitive stop in your visit to the beautiful Charlottetown.
