Im writing from Puerta del Sol the center of Madrid and the Madrileanos equivalent to times square in New York. Its freezing cold out here but im manning up so i can keep in touch. Last night it was snowing. there was about an inch or two of snow. Catching a cab in that last night was no fun. Saturday i went to a flaminco bar called Carda Momo. It was like nothing i had ever seen. It was impossible to get to the bar because the place was jammed packed, that is until some disgruntled customer threw his glass at the bartender smashing everything behind him and just missing the bartenders head. Since he missed with his glass, he decided to flick his cigarette butt in the barteners face.
3 huge bouncers came and took the guy out back. He was never heard of again. Anyways, half the people in the bar took off like a herd after all of that which gave me a prime seat right at the bartop. The music was blarring, the room was full of heavy cigarette smoke, and there was a constant clapping of hands to the beat. Amazing place to go because it isnt much of a tourist spot and gives you a really good sense of the culture ...... lastly my roommates and i decided we needed to put 99 bottles of mahou on the wall and we are up to 65 i think and its only been about two weeks which is either really awesome or really sad depending on how you want to look at it. They are 100 cilaliter bottles so its something like 34 oz and they take some getting used to but its like the Budweiser of Spain and so I will do my best go get used to it.

My hands are just about frostbitten and the policia is staring at me so its about that time...
