Dali time!

So, it was with a broken heart that we left Barcelona behind to head for Figueres Spain, home town of Salvador Dali!

Born in 1904 Dali organised his first exposition at age 15. After many years of study he joined the surrelalist movement (1929) and became one of the most known and successfull artist of this movement.

We visited his Casa Museu Castell Gala Dali where he lived for a few years and were intrigued to understand his art. The building it self is very nice with very weird shapes and decorations (thats Dali alright) and it houses many of his collections, pieces and even his thomb.

A nice place to visit for the Dali lovers but can be a bit long for people who are not interested in his art. I mean many of his pieces are very hard to understand as he was the excentric master of the Irrationnal investigation of deleria a technic he developped throughout his art.. Makes his work a bit complexe to understand but it is none the less intriging to see.
