Just like all the other times I have travelled to big cities, I got chills when we first entered Barcelona. It is so big and filled with houses, stores, old monuments, the sea... Its like getting an overdose of information and images. We had a first challenge which was finding a inside parking with free spaces and then our rented appartment!
Overall it whent pretty well, again the road maps and my sisters driving skills came in handy! There was a lot of movement on the roads but we were lucky as we entered the city during the siesta hours!
The appartment is super well located and very nice. We have all we need close by and many shopping stores! =) We even have a cocktail bar under our appartment if we get thirsty!!
The heat is something else in Barcelona and thank god for the little windy breeze that makes it less sweatty! T-shirt, shorts are a must and you can forget about jeans during the day!
I have been drinking plenty of mango juice and water to be well hydrated!
Just walking in the streets here without visiting anything is great, people are very nice and the architecture is so different I just cant seem to get enough! My spanish has kicked back in and I am having a fun time practicing which is well seen by the citizens here as I am making an effort to speak there language!
Adios and I should write some more when I am back in Switzerland as I am heading back to France tomorow and I am not sure I will have internet access there.
Much more to come on Barcelona.. and hopefully some pictures soon! Darn cable...
