Taipei 101 (Tallest Building in the world)

I really enjoyed Taipei.  I have to say that I had many different feelings about it during my stay.

The people are busy and still take the time to be courteous and friendly. The food is great and has its own spin on "traditional" Chinese food, which makes sense.  I also love the cheap transportation.  You can take the metro pretty much anywhere for next to nothing.

Highly recommended:

Taipei 101 - Tallest Building in the world and fastest elevator!  Not just tall, but also beautiful architecture.

Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall - Great way to learn about and get a better feeling for Taiwan’s history.  Also breathtaking architecture.

Night Market (Snake Alley) - Really a must opinion.  Very random items for sale from kids toys to "Natural" healing medicines for sexually transmitted Diseases!  Beware!  Not for the squeamish!  They don't call it snake Alley for nothing!  You can drink snakes blood!  Sounds adventurous, but it was pretty morbid in person.  I guess this "Adventurous" traveler has his limits.

Overall, I would recommend Taipei to anyone that loves to experience something different, scenic and historical!

Also...Good local beer, but I suggest to stay away from the Beetlenut!
