The longest day EVER!

I am finally in Greece!

It was a long trip to get here. Tomorrow, my flight leaves to Istanbul, Turkey.

My last day at the pink palace was a-ok. Nick was really not feeling so hot so we hung out in the air conditioning upstairs in the internet room and I read Harry Potter while he tried to feel better. I felt really bad for him....massive cold and chest pains. Plus, I was pretty tired and didnt really feel like doing much either. Our bus to Athens didnt leave until 11:30 pm and didnt get into Athens until 9:30 am the next day..talk about the longest day ever. Ouch! Said goodbye to Shaun who was headed off to Germany.

We met some fun people here at the Athens hostel and went out for some gyros pitas. Yum! Mostly Aussies. I have met so many Aussies. Looking forward to Australia....such a nice group of people! Very easy going, love to meet new people....reminds me of Canadians.

Wondering how Turkey will be...wish I had some more time to explore the greek islands with Nick.
