Well, the second night in Amsterdam was a ton of fun. We joined up with the Polish/German couple for supper. We had no idea what we were ordering but it was delicious! Afterwards, we hiked through a beautiful park to the Red Light District. It was a little crazy...people all over the place and lots of red lights and strippers/prostitutes in their red windows....we didnt stay too long. I went to take a picture (didnt realize you're not supposed to) and a stripper put her middle finger up at me from across the street...oops. We gotta outta there prettz fast.
The architecture is interesting in Amsterdam....all the houses are very tall and very narrow. They lean towards the street so that when people pull things up to the window, it doesn't hit anything.
Next, we headed over to one of the squares to meet up with the German girl's friend from university. She was travelling with a really nice group from York university in Britain. One of the guys was from France so I got to practise speaking some french..always a good thing!
This morning, Brice and I caught an awful train to Berlin. It was 5 hours long and probably plus 30 (no exaggeration) the entire time....ouch! No fan either! Berlin seems to be a very modern city and it is very hot here. The forecast is for plus 35 tomorrow. Wow!
Brice and I were going to go to Poland but there was only one ticket left so he's going to go (he wanted to see Auschwitz really bad) and I`m going to start heading over to Prague and towards Spain (where I catch a flight to Morocco). This German keyboard is interesting....
