Day 2 in Bucureşti

Alex stopped by the hostel in the morning of day 2 and we headed for the Parliament building. I was wondering how long the tour of that place would be! On the walk there, we took a detour and saw an area that Alex called "The Vatican of Bucharest". At least I think that's what he called it. There's a large church there and lots of religious folk...it was neat to see!
From there, the parliament building was not far away. With the size that it was though, I wasn't exactly sure how close we were. The walk wasn't too bad and we were there in no time. Once we had walked around to the entrance (that took another 20 minutes from when we got there), we didn't have to wait long for the next English speaking tour.
After the tour finished, we spent the rest of the day walking around town and seeing some of the sites that we did not see the previous day. Alex taught me some Romanian, and he forced me to use it when I wanted to purchase an item for Cathy. So, I did...and I think I did a pretty good job! For someone that I only met last year and only spent a couple days with, Alex was an awesome guide and very accommodating to me. I really appreciate all that he did.
