Patong - Hectic Paradise

We have spent the last 8 days in Patong and although we have been doing a lot of relaxing in the pool it has been full on.
The 23rd was spent wondering the streets looking around. We were harassed by Indian sales people trying to sell what ever they can (mostly tailor made suits). As I was looking for a tailor I settled for who I thought was the least harassing and the least full of kaka. We also booked a trip for the 24th to
The 24th was amazing – my best day yet. We travelled by speed boat to a remote set of
Em and I spent the 25th mainly in the pool relaxing. We did go out in the night though which was fun and interesting. The locals were a lot of fun to drink with. They introduced us to game involving the back of a hammer, a nail and a piece of wood. Objective being who could hit the nail in with the least shots. Apart from the fun the night is a little daunting in Patong as there are many ‘Lady Boys’ (Transvestites) offering shows of some sort…
On the 26th we spent the day recovering in the pool yet a gain. We did manage to find an amazing little eating place that had great food, which was cheap and the service was very entertaining.
On the 28th we really did hit relax mode. Didn’t do a lot but managed to fit a foot massage in and I picked up my cashmere silk suit.
Yesterday (29th) was a little less fun. The weather was heavy rain all day so we did not get up too much as it was a little cold swimming in the rain.
