Day 07
Today we left the hotel and started off on our journey to Galway. We drove through the Donegal area and stopped in the town of Donegal for a bit of a stretch of our legs. Heading out of Donegal we stopped about an hour later at the grave of William Butler Yeats, which was situated outside of the town of Sligo. Our driving continued ever onward and our next stop was that of the town of Knock. This town is famous because many years ago the Virgin Mary appeared to forty people of varying age at this site. The apparition lasted for two hours and the event was officially recognized by the Church in Rome. The Pope gave an Easter address from this small town as well.
Finally, we landed in Galway City which was bustling with activity. After dinner we took to the rainy streets to find a nice pub. We ended in a place called Fibber Magee’s. It wasn’t my style though so I only stayed until the Premiership match between Chelsea and Wycombe was over. Unfortunately the boys in blue gave up a tie.
