Two hours in London

I came into Stanstead in the morning from Girona Airport and had to transfer flights in Heathrow. So I decided to walk around London for two hours and see as much as I could.
With the ridiculously overpriced public transportation in London I got the 48 pound all day pass and took full advantage of it (for two hours). The train just about broke down on its way from Stanstead to central London, but I enjoyed nice views along the way. Once in London all the names of places sounded exactly the same. Must be the most confusing metro system in the world. With the line I wanted to get on going in a circle I had no idea which way to go.
Luckily I reached the right train and went over to the most touristy part of the city.
First to Birmingham Palace, then the Big Ben, and that big old church next to it. I never got really close to anything and I was weighed down by the baggage I was carrying along with my carry on item (backpack) and my violin. After this I decided to take the underground to a random stop and take a walk outdoors, it was a nice neighborhood with some delicious cookie shop. Unfortunately by the time I walked around for five minutes I had to go back to the metro to catch the plane back to Newark.
I had planned to read through the trip but the scenic parks and neighborhoods of suburban London were too bright and sunny and pretty. So for the most part I watched the outdoors.

Another thing I would like to point out is that they have very good smoothies at Stanstead airport at a little booth called "Love Juice" absolutely worth the three pounds. I had not had a decent smoothie in months.
