Brazil 2007 - Florianopolis

Last summer, I was in Santa Catarina, Brazil, which is located in the South. The area I visited was Balneario-Camburio, which is popular during Brazilian summer, (or the Northern Hemisphere's winter months). The area reminded me of Europe with its cobblestoned sidewalks and chic cafes. The nightlife had a lot of variety, everything from live Portuguese music to U.S. cover bands, multi-level nightclubs, relaxed pool halls. I recommend Brazilian barbecue (very affordable for college students).
