The perfect graduation trip

On june 2nd 2007, a group of 8 graduates from Skagerak International School in Norway met at Gardermoen airport, more than ready for a 2 week holiday in Ios, Greece after suffering 2 years of the international baccalaureate.

After a 3.5 hour flight we reached the island of Santorini, where we went down to the port and got on a boat that would take us to Ios. (it turned out that the boat was delayed and we almost passed out in the incredible heat!) We arrived at Hotel Sunrise at about 6 in the evening where we had a short dinner and then got ready for our first party in Ios...

The following days we were either by the pool or chilling at the beach. Most of the time we were found at the Far Out Beach Club at the Mylopotas beach, we loved it!! And every night we went out patying at the great clubs and bars in Ios, we had a blast!

In summary, this is how we mostly spent ou days:
Got home around 6 or 7 in the morning, slept for a few hours, went to the beach around 11, stayed there until 7 in the evening, ate dinner, slept another hour, and then we started partying again :)

After a week at Ios, another friend came and joined us at Ios, and ofcourse it was a big party the day he arrived! Then the second week mostly went by as the first one, until wednesday.
On wednesday we rented atv's to explore other parts of the island. We started driving in one direction and ended up at a quiet beach with practically no people. We didn't stay long before we headed off to the more famous Manganari Beach south on the island. After about a 2 hour drive we reached Manganari Beach, which also was a quiet place, with no hotels, just a few boats and a handful of tourists.

The following day, on thursday, we went on a conoe safari. After a short paddle we reached our first destination. Our guide fastened our conoes and we had to swim to the cliff, where we were snorkling, cliff jumping and had lunch. After that we paddled to an other beach and stayed there for a while before we went back.

And on friday we were just chillin at Far Out again, like most other days! As this was our last night, we had a big last night out, we didn't come back until around 0715 in the morning, and we were supposed to meet in the reception at 8. .. but we made it, and it was a long and unwanted trip back home to Norway. 

We really miss Ios and we have already checked out tickets for a return in August!!
