This is a record of my trip of a lifetime - sailing from Walton on the Naze to Bordeaux via the Channel Islands and Brittany. At Bordeaux, I'll enter the canal system and then spend a month getting through to The Med, then sailing around the Med until I decide to go home.

DAY 11

Tuesday 19th June

Had a leisurely breakfast and then said goodbye to Bob and Diane who had made the first part of the trip so pleasurable. That left just JC and me! After we avoided a French destroyer in the Rade de Brest which seemed intent on running us down, had a gentle sail across a bay to Camaret.
