As I said before, the purpose of this trip was to reunite with my fellow Copenhagen University studymates. Jens and I arrived, unfortunately, on the day of the airport bombing, but fortunately we didn't see any of it and as most of you know, only two people were hurt/killed and that wasn't me.
We got there and searched and searched for our hostel, which we eventually found, but either we were stupid, or we were given bad directions. I think it was us. But we did find it and we were escorted to our room which we were sharing with our friends. One beds was empty, but we were hoping no one would want that one.
It was great meeting with Sarah (who is German), Natalina (who is Norwegian), and Karl (who is American). I hadn't seen Karl since I left Copenhagen in December of 2005. So it was nice to connect again. We all went out to a pretty decent tappas bar, Karl made fun of my poor accent in Spanish and then we met up with Karl's relatives who were all Miami Cubans. They were great fun. Knew how to laugh the loudest and drink the most.
