Rain, rain go away. Replace yourself with Guiness... We got Mango's note and high tailed it over Killington Mountain and then back down the other side on the Sherberne Pass trail. I don't think you can understand what being miserable is until you have hiked for 18 miles in the pouring rain on a cold day. You also can't understand what kind of a turn around it is to step into a warm building, take a hot shower, put on a dry clothes, and get a pint of beer and a hot meal. It's like night and day.
We had a little hikers party. Mango, thanks for organizing. Restless, 2 Shoes, Matt, Hiker X, thanks for attending. It's cool how later in the trip it becomes less about the viewns and the wilderness and is much more about the people and the experiences. Crinkle was a thru hiker from 2000 and bought us all a round. Its great how I see hikers take care of their own. Thanks Crinkle and Genine. I stayed up a little too late and drank a little too much, but not anything insane. Just enough to have a good time and swipe hiker lies. Hiker X is a cool dude and is living the dream. Keep on going brother. And Mango, thanks for splitting the room
