Together with Walter at a drawbridge

Today, I slept in too long. I was going to pick up Walter at 9:00 in the morning again. But it was almost 8:30 when I got up. My plan was to get up early and go to the supermarket to buy some bread for breakfast first. There was no time for that anymore. I took a quick shower and had to leave already. When I arrived at the Bed & Breakfast I did not see Walter yet. I watched inside the house and I saw the owner in the kitchen. She came outside and I told her I came for Walter. She was going to tell him I was there.

I told Walter I did not have breakfast yet, so we made a quick stop at the supermarket first. Also Walter did not have breakfast, so he had to visit a supermarket anyway. Arrived at my place I parked my car and took Walter along.

The peaceful canals of the Binnendieze in my town
I told him I had to make my breakfast first. In the meantime Walter was able to check his e-mail.

Now we were ready to go. I showed Walter another part of my town than I did the day before. We walked almost al the time and we sat at a peaceful place along the water. I showed him what used to be the harbour in the late middle ages and the infamous Binnendieze. We went back to the St. Jan's Cathedral, yesterday there was a big mass going on because of the bank holidays, but today it was quiet and now we had the place more or less for our own. We got some more time to look around at least. I think Walter loved the stained glass windows a lot. Later on I showed him, in a quiet neighbourhood, some nice murals inspired by the famous painter Jheronimus Bosch, quite liberal I think they are. ;) It was a great sunny and hot day, so Walter definitely had the best time of the year so far for visiting my place, my country. I hope he enjoyed his journey to the fullest! I tried to show him the best places from my town.

Time flew and before I knew it was time to go to work already! Walter was going to meet someone else in the afternoon. I think he would meet him at the central station. Not sure he was able to meet-up with him. I certainly had a nice time talking with Walter and showing him around.

I will vouch for Walter, hopefully he will vouch for me as well.

@Brian: They say so. I never skip it though, although this time I didn't manage my fridge well enough. ;)

@May: That's nice May! I'd for sure as well. :)
