Daintree National Park
Up extremely early this morning and made the call to see if my trip was leaving to Cape Tribulation
and Horay at last we have lift of, 3rd time lucky! so got packed up for the 3rd day running and off we go, on the way we stopped at Daintree National Park
for a walk through the rain forest, it was still raining but pretty cool, then we were due to go on a river cruise down the Daintree River where loads of crocs live, but unfortunately this was cancelled due to the stupid amount of rain the river levels were too high and running too fast, so next was the short ferry ride across the Daintree River (still didnt see crocs!) and onto Cape Tribulation where we were dropped of at our accomodation, where I had chosen to stay was absolutely gorgeous with the most fantastic view.
Ferntree Holiday Village where I stayed
Once bags were dumped a few of us went for a wander down to a neighbouring resort which had a bar and is the answer to nightlife in Cape Tribulation, checked out the beach while there which is pretty wrecked from the recent cyclones which is a shame can see how it would have been gorgeous, also it was still raining beaches never quiet look the same in the rain! Also its killer jelly fish season so you aren't allowed to swim in the sea without stinger suits on. In the evening we took a walk back down to the other resort for dinner and ended up staying till they kicked us out at 1am, funny night mixed with the locals (it is the only nightlife there!)...then we had to walk back in the pitch black and it really was pitch black, thank god for the torch on my phone! almost forgot saw the jhugest spider this afternoon, it lived on a 3 foot web and was at least 7 inches long including its legs...Yuck! check the photo!!
