Dolphins at Monkey Mia
We were out nice and early this morning and headed for Monkey Mia, what a gorgeous place, its a small resort with loads of wildlife, Pelicans wondering around on beach, Ostrich wondering around the resort and the best bit is the Dolphins coming in to feed, there were 6 on the morning that I was there, your not allowed to touch them but you just stand in the shallows and they come within 3 or 4 feet of you, I also went out on a Catarmaran for an hour looking for Dolphins and Turtles out at sea, really hot day so was great to be out on the water, we saw a couple of Dolphins, one had a huge shark bite on its back which looked fresh, apparently they heal quickly but it will be left with a scar. I wasnt quick enough to get photos or the ones I did get werent so clear.

Once back on land went for a swim on the resort pool, lunch then we were of on the coach again where we finished the day by driving of the highway and out to Warroora sheep station, which is where we were staying for the night, well this was an experience if ever I had one, we were in the middle of no where, we had small double rooms and there were bugs and spiders everywhere, there was not many of us were going to get any sleep without a few drinks tonight.....our driver Julie had been in bed asleep for a good hour or so when she woke and could sense there was something in her room, she put the light on a came running out, there was a huge Huntsman Spider on her wall, apparently these dont bite but they jump, I wouldnt go anywhere near it, but a couple of the girls were feeling bravish (though I think this had something to do with the wine consumed) started by throwing flip flops at it, then walking boots and still kept missing, I think they managed to wake up everyone that had managed to get to sleep with the screams and screaches, the fright on there faces was hilarious to watch, eventually one of the German girls walked in with a glass and got it out, she was so obviously thinking we were pathetic and wasnt impressed with being woken up. Once enough wine was consumed though we did manage to get to sleep, wouldnt want to be staying there again!
