View from Yardie Creek
Today has been alot less touring just 2 stops a short distance from Exmouth, first visit was a trek up Yardie Creek, where we managed to see wild kangaroos quiet close up and some stunning views. Next up was Turquiose Bay for more snorkling, Turquiose Bay also has coral reef but its alot shallower and you can swim to it from the beach, we saw lots of colourful sealife and managed to swim with a turtle for a good 10 mins, I also encountered my second reef shark, apart from this time it was less than 2 meters away from me and only a couple of feet below me, I nearly freaked out completely as it was so close, but it just swam on by without a care in the world, funny enough I didnt have the urge to follow it! so after a long day of snorkling (it was far far too hot to be able to sit in it for any longer than 2 mins!) we headed back to our hostel, it was our last night all together, half the group were off camping and the rest of us were to be heading back south the following day, so we all went out for dinner and drinks, funny it seems to be the English, Scots and Ozzies that have the staying power, loads of the young once slunk off to bed early, and the few of us left hit the local ..... mmmm was going to say nightclub, but really dont think it could be described as that..... dont know what it was, but it had a total of 5 people in and the music was diabolical....
