Got into melbourne @ 7.30am and had the whole day to do nothing. So i jumped on the train and had a look aound.
1st stop - Southern Cross Station. (spencer st)
2nd stop - Flinders St station. First was food. "Lord of the fries" great chips with belgium sauce and a sweet chilli burger fo just $7.95. good food.
3rd stop - The city loop on the tram. This was free and pretty cool. took you to all the major attractions in the city area.
First stop was the Melbourrne state library. Was going in there for the free internet and spent 2 hrs in there looking at the different displays. From books dating 1500's japan to books written in latin and some amazing photos of old Victoria. Each floor had differrent displays. The best one was the NED KELLY display.
great place to visit.
second stop. The Boomdocks. This was just old buildings used in the old days when the boats came into port and used to fix boats, places for sailor's to stay etc.
Third stop - The spoting area. telstra Stadium, and otther stadiums for tennis, footy and all sttyles of sport.
Four stop - one of the only buildings still standing from post victorian era. (just a building)
Back to Flinders street station where i jumped of and went to Federation square. A artistic tourist spo for steet proformer's, little stalls and some cool artistic buildings and displays.
After i finish there i jumped on the train and went to Dandelong. To wait for the bus to Yaram. this place was shit. played spot the aussie.
then a 3 hr bus ride to the Gippsland.
