Bora Bora
Our breakfast is good and abundant, and the luggage and shuttle services are prompt and efficient – as usual in this remote part of the world, NO TIPS!!! We were so pleasantly surprised! How long will it last?
We start to know a couple of Texans of our age who say they are doing their lifetime dream travel, but we then discover that he does not swim and does not like the sun, and that they will not do excursions or dinners at restaurants because they have already paid so much…..
A quick flight with beautiful views of the islands, we land and the luggage is handed to us by hands (no conveyor belts) the restrooms at the airport are filled with flowers, the water around is an incredible green/blue.

Letizia gets excited and swims around taking many pics with her small camera. The fishes here are very friendly and easy to shoot at. One particular boxfish stays in front of her camera all the time. In the late afternoon the wind picks up, and the sea starts to get rough. We have dinner with our travel mates form San Diego, a couple our same age with three children back home. We go to a small restaurant just outside our village and have tuna and other fishes. Back to the bungalow we watch for a while the Bastille parade (of “tomorrow”) while strong winds shake our bedroom….
