We're off!

Heading back south to 'home'(Roatan). Quit my job, so this time's a bigger step from the last few visits. We'll stop in Ft Lauderdale for a few days to visit friends, then meet up with Carley (haven't seen her in 10 yrs!) to take a cruise, getting off halfway, in Roatan- worked out cheaper than flying, and no limit on luggage!

We're off!

Finally, time to leave Canada!  Feels so liberating to pack up and get ready to go.  My parents drove the boys and I over to Detroit for our flight to Fort Lauderdale.  There was a bit of re-packed needed at the airport, as some of the bags were overweight.  My parents got sent home with a random collection of toys that had to be cut from the final pack :)

Travelling with two small children is actually not THAT bad.  As long as you have a bit of money for help with the bags, once they've been checked, then it's just dealing with the kids and carry-ons.  And now that Deo's getting bigger, sometimes he can be a bit of a help.

I'm writing this 7 months after the fact, so the details of the trip are getting a little hazy (amazing how quick that happens).  Had to transfer flights, got in pretty late.  Our stroller got lost along the way, so by the time we did the paperwork from that, and Lynne found us, it was pretty late.
