A rainy start

Rain, rain and more rain! The first day was the only dry day we've had! So glad I'm not diving anymore, I'd hate to be workingin this!So I'm not making much progress on my tan (other than the first week in Florida and on the ship), since we've arrived in Roatan, it's been raining every day except the first one. It is rainy season, so I knew I could expect it, but it's kind of disappointing for my friend, we haven't even been in for a swim (the sea gets really rough when a storm comes in, plus the air temp is kind of chilly, I think about 22C). It's been great to see all my friends, we've already had a few dinner parties. Friday night my friend's husband is going to watch all of our kids and we're going to have a girl's night out, as it'll be Carley's last night.
We've had a few unexpected visitors as well: as I was going through a mystery bag (my old stuff that was stored under the bed), I decided to open it out on the porch, and I shook it out (I was worried there might be some cockroaches)- and there was a mouse! Carley heard me shriek (I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat around rodents), and she came out and swept it off the porch. Then tonight I was getting down fresh towels for the boys' bath, put on on the towel bar, and there's a mouse clinging too it. Tried to get Carley, but she was too chicken too. So it managed to knock it into the garbage with a broom, and took it across the road to throw the bag into the neighbours garbage bins (in case it chewed through the plastic and tried to come back). So gross! These are the moments that it would be handy to have a man in the house :)
