Ang's mom, Nancy, distributing presents to kids near the dump

We had a really nice Christmas. Went to church Sun morning. They were having an evening service as well, but I still needed to get all the wrapping done after I put the boys to bed, so we skipped that. I let the boys open one present Christmas eve, as well as their Christmas pjs, and then in the morning, Deo came in to get me, so excited that there were presents under the tree. Opened everything up, had breakfast, and played with the new toys for awhile, and then we headed over to Angela's. Her mom organizes donations of Christmas presents for the poorer kids (about 1500 packs!), which they had mostly distributed the day before at Christmas parties that she has the different communities organize, but they still had a few gifts to go, so we went along for the ride for a few stops.

The boys were pretty close to naptime, so they were getting a little cranky, but it was fun to go along- the kids that got the presents were so excited (we drove up by the dump, there are several families that live near there). Then we went back to Angela's, got the boys down for a nap, her mom Nancy went off to do a few more rounds of presents, and Glen and I got started with preparing the food. Loads of shrimp, chicken, beans, rice, mashed potatoes, salad, herb biscuits: it was quite a feast! We stayed til about 6:30, then Ang gave us a lift home. A storm was coming in, so it had started getting pretty windy at her place (they're right on the beach), and we ended up with quite a lot of rain last night, and off and on today.
