The Mosel, at a Wine Tasting
Now this is one thing Germany is well known for. The excellent and wide spread vinyards. The Mosel-Saar wines are particularly tasty. In this trip, I ended up dropping 180 Euros to grab some of the best tasting wine. I still have some left over.  If you have the time and  reliable DD (otherwise stay there in the area) take a wine tasting trip during this time, your tastebuds will love you.
Seated along the Mosel River, various soil contents (the  wine provider tried to explain, a bit late in the game as I was pretty tosted already) give distinct tastes to the wines produced in the area. A good wine tasting should have about 5-8 Bottles presented to you, throughout the course of the meal. A nice light meal should be provide too. Once you have concluded the taste, and sit back and relax and enjoy the cool summer evening, talking tall tales with your freinds. Take a walk along the scenic river route with a bottle in hand and see the other people doing just as you do. Head back to the wine shop and buy to your hearts content..;)
