6 days to go and I'll be on my way to RIO!!!
In 6 days I will be on an airplane probably flying over the middle of Saskatchewan or Montana about now on my way to Brazil via Chicago and Miami! I am finally starting to get excited but I think the most exciting part will be 3 full weeks away from work. I find it quite odd that I am excited that I will have 3 weeks off in a row as I am a workaholic so we all know I will check my work email from time to time.
The real worrysome right now is, will I be able to complete this marathon in Rio in 6hrs or less on Sunday June 24? If it is all mind over matter then yes I will get it done just in time because I really want the medal, certificate and the medal. I need more medals for my collection and as competitive as I am, I am not doing it just for fun. It is winning that matters, lol! Ok I do realize there is no way in hell I will even come close to winning this race unless I am granted some super human powers the morning of June 24th! Winning for me in this event is just crossing that finish line in one piece before the 6 hr time limit has passed.
