Start of the 6 day Paddywagon tour!
May 20, 2005
Early this morning the tour bus pulled up to the Four Courts Hostel and we were off on a six day tour of Ireland. We took a drive through Dublin and our guide pointed out to us the homes of a few celebrities (Bono from U2, etc) and we took a look at a rugby field before leaving the city. Our first stop was to the small town of Drogheda, where we discovered the head of St. Oliver Plunkett - martyred for his faith. The head is still in amazing condition after over 400 years and sits in St. Peter's church.
