Interlaken - Day 2
I slept in this morning and then set out on an adventure. I had heard of walking trails, so I sent to look for those. I ended up finding them, and it was rather creepy! It was still pretty early in the morning, overcast sky and rather dark. I was the only one out there in this wooded area, and I'm sure anything could have jumped out at me (person or otherwise) at any moment. I fearlessly pressed on, following the river through the woods. I ended up at (presumably) one of the lakes Interlaken is named for. It was very serene; the water was perfectly still and there really was no noise at all.
I continued down the path way away from the city and eventually hit a town. From there I followed the signs on the main road back to Interlaken (it was not far). Even so, I didn't kill quite enough time and I found myself a little bored wandering the streets. It's a great town for extreme (or even not so extreme) sports, but other than that there wasn't a whole lot to do. I went back to the chocolatier and ate dinner there, so I could use my coupon. Finally, I went to the train station and caught an overnight train to Florence. I wish I could have spent more time in Switzerland, and I hope to some day.
