Prior to making may way into Stavanger, i had spent the previous night in Aberdeen due to having an early morning flight. It made it much easier for me to get to the airport on time rather than trying to commute from Glasgow at 3 or 4am in the morning, in which i know i definitely would have missed my flight!
Before actually arriving in Stavanger, i had organised a 2 nights stay via Couchsurfing which had fallen through. So it was off to the Tourist Information centre to get some help. I ended up booking into the Stavanger Lille Hotel. Well, i wasn't actually staying in that particular building, but in an apartment about 10 minutes walk away. Yes, the apartment was immaculate and in very good condition, but it had better been after forking out 770NOK per night! Money i didn't want to part with, but if i wanted somewhere safe to sleep, i had no alternative.
After checking-in, i decided to take a short walk around the city centre as the weather wasn't the best. Whilst out i did manage to grab some food to last me a few days.
