Petronas towers
The bus journey to KL (as the Locals call it) was one of the nicest we've been on so far. The bus was nothing short of amazing- only 3 rows of seats instead of four and probably of a better quality than those found in the first class cabins of most airlines! Along the way we saw some spectacular scenery as the landscape twisted and changed. Arriving into KL was a sight in itself, being greeted with the view of the Petronas twin towers and the KL Tower. We were camped for the next 2 nights at the impressive 5* Pan Pacific hotel in the north of the city, our 15th floor room giving equally impressive views and a spectacular lightning and thunder storm (which seemed to happen at the same time everyday).
We spent the first day exploring, visiting the Petronas Twin towers (and KLCC shopping center), the KL Tower, where you can enjoy fine views of the city and peek though someones kitchen window from 256 meters up in the sky.

We then caught a cab down to China town and wandered round the various stalls selling the same counterfeit goods they seem to be selling in any other Asian city- It was amusing seeing the police approaching and the vendors scooping their goods into suitcases and taking off!!! After the torrential rains and thunder set in we decided to retire for the day back to the safety of the hotel.
Next day Andy explored China town again in search of a Rolex but came home empty handed after deciding it was actually a waste of money!!!  We then took an hour cab journey to the Airport for a short flight south to Johur Bahru, then for a short hop to Singapore next morning.
