Surfers Paradise (Gold Coast)
April 21, 2006
Hi people, from Byron Bay, we headed for Surfers Paradise. Once we
arrived we checked into Main Beach Caravan Park, the only site in the
area which was roughly 4km from the Town Centre. We took the long walk
into Town thinking it would only take 15 mins but more like 40 mins,
never realised how unfit i was. Surfers Paradise is full of High Rise
Apartment Blocks, Hotels and a massive stretch of beach known as the
'Gold Coast'. We soon realised that there was plenty to do here, lots
of Activities, Bars, Shops and Fast Food places.
The first night we stayed in and chilled out, thought it was a good idea just to go out Friday and Saturday.
Friday night we hit the Town, i ended up losing Chris and Dee, woke up the next morning to find I had 5 voicemails off Chris and found him in the tent with a Trolley with a Dishwasher in it, he must have pushed it all the way from Town, to prove this i took a photo, lol.
Saturday night was so much better, we bought a Party Boat Cruise ticket from one of the Bars in Town, 120 people, 50/50 Girls/Guys, it seemed more Girls which was a good thing. It cost us $55 , included was free food, a t-shirt, free entry into nightclubs and a photo of the whole group, im at the back with a yellow t-shirt on. Was an amazing night! I met so many people.
The next day, we checked out of the Campsite and headed for Brisbane because we are all running low on cash and we needed to find a labouring job or something. We were told Brisbane is a smaller version of Sydney and we would find Jobs there easy.
