Flew into Sydney on 3/12/05 on a Years Working Holiday Visa, where I travelled the whole East Coast of Australia in a Campervan with Two Top Guys from N'Ireland. Finished off our Trip working in a Gold Mine in Meekatharra, WA where we made mega bucks, we broke even at the end of our trip. From here, we flew out to Bangkok to start a South East Asia experience.

Lost Wallet / Won $1000 In Pool Comp

My Pool Comp Winnings! Paddy McGuires, Sydney

Hi everyone, what a day i had. Went to Coogee in the day which was great but on my way home as i was getting off the Bus, i noticed i never had my wallet in my daysack. I tried to call the Bus Company but was no good. I cancelled my cards and thankfully one of the Irish guys leant me some money for the time being.

After that, we all went down to Paddy McGuires to enter in the Pool Competition but were unable to enter because they already had 32 names on the list. We stayed anyway for a Jug and 4 people never turned up for the Competition so we ended up playing in the end.

I wasn't playing the best Pool but i reached the Quarter Finals. I won the Toss and decided to break. As i broke, i saw the black ball sink into the left-hand middle pocket and noticed i hadn't potted any other ball. This meant i had won $1000, couldn' believe my luck, especially that i had lost my wallet earlier.

I bought everyone a Kebab at the end of the night and put the rest in the bank, not a bad nights work.

Anyway, will keep you posted on how things are going.
