Flew into Sydney on 3/12/05 on a Years Working Holiday Visa, where I travelled the whole East Coast of Australia in a Campervan with Two Top Guys from N'Ireland. Finished off our Trip working in a Gold Mine in Meekatharra, WA where we made mega bucks, we broke even at the end of our trip. From here, we flew out to Bangkok to start a South East Asia experience.

My First Freefall Skydive

Am I ready? My First Freefall Skydive! Innisfail, Queensland, Australia.

Hi everyone, I did a Tandem Skydive earlier on Today. Words cant describe how exhilarating the whole experience was. Its crazy when i think of it, i freefalled from 14000 feet or 3miles high, lol. The worst part about it was the small plane that only held 5 people, one being the Pilot. Me and Chris where in the plane together, Chris having to Jump first. The view from the plane was amazing, we saw plenty of the Great Barrier Reef. Not knowing the current altitude of the plane, the waiting was the hardest thing. Once we got to our altitude i remember one of the instructors saying 'Door', the next minute the door openend and gushes of wind blew inside the plane and i knew that this was it, no turning back now! I turned with my back against my instructor as he tied us together and watched as Chris vanished into thin air as he jumped. 5 seconds later it was us, i had to get my feet onto the little ledge outside the plane, crossed my arms against my chest, head back and the instructor did the rest. It was amazing, and to everyone thinking of doing it, then please do it!
