The next Morning our first thought was for Bertha and before we went to Move her we saw a Job Club in the Hostel, so we went to see what we could find. The guy was very friendly and found us all some fruit picking jobs in a place called 'Stanthorpe' about a 3 hour drive West of Brisbane, we were told it was 910 metres above see level so we knew if was going to be cold. We all thought that it wasn't for us but we never had much choice seeing as we were all low on cash.
Once we had all the details, we checked out of the Hostel and walked towards where we parked Bertha. As soon as we turned the corner we noticed Bertha wasn't there, we all looked at each other and thought the worst. All of our important documents where in there plus other things too. We went back to the Hostel and the Girl on the Desk had said it had happend before so she phoned the Towing Company, we gave her our Reg and luckily Bertha was there. The only bad thing was we had to pay $180 to get her back, an absolute killer blow to us all, especially how tight the cash situation was.
Eventually we got Bertha back, begrudged paying all that money but happy to have all of our things back, an expensive night to say the least.
After all that palava we drove towards Stanthorpe to try out Fruit Picking, lol.
