Brisbane. We only got bout 60km and being fairly late and dark that Monday Evening we decided to stop off in a Truck Park for the night, saved us money for a night in a Campsite.
The next Morning we woke up fairly early and headed more towards Brisbane. We passed a place called Ipswich and Chris driving, noticed quite a few Nissan Skylines driving together in a bunch, so we decided to follow them and found they were all taking part in a Track Day Event. We decided to stay and watch, especially that it was free. Chris and Dee took many photos but i didn't bother, oh sorry, i got one of a Kit Car we saw on the Way out.
Soon as we arrived in Brisbane, we decided to take the safer approach and stay in a Campsite because of what happend to Bertha last time, lol. We found a site about 5km out of the City, checked in and headed into the City to look for Labouring Jobs, after an hour or so we got sick of it and went for a pint to see what else we could do. We decided to start ringing through the Yellow Pages, left our numbers with the Company's but no Jobs at the Present they told us. By now we got really cheesed off and thought about heading on but we decided to stay a few nights to wait and see.
The next day we actually went onto some building sites to ask if thet needed any Labourers but most of them said they had enough people at the moment, we left our number with a couple but we were all convinced they wouldn't call us back.
Later on back at the Campsite we all decided it would be a good idea to go into a bit of our savings and book a Trip for Fraser Island and the Whitsundays, this trip was on our agenda anyway. I have been told near Cairns, there is plenty of work due to the Cyclone that hit earlier this Year.
The next day, we went into the City and noticed the money from the Farming work hadn't gone into any of our accounts. We weren't surprised to be honest so we gave the Farmer a call, he gave us some bullshit story to say he would look into the matter and for us to call back the following day. After that we booked this trip, we got a good deal too, it only cost us $299 each plus taxes.
Later on we went out and hit the Town just to see what the Nightlife was like, in all it was very average, we all got too dunk on $7 jugs, lol.
The next Morning we checked out of the site and headed towards Fraser Island, we need to be at Rainbow Beach for Monday Afternoon.
I think i would have liked to stay longer in Brisbane but it was lacking Jobs and Beaches, lol.
Keep you posted, take care.
