Do you like my snazzy red bike?

Andy:  Yes it's me again !  After a few days in the wilderness, metaphorically speaking, I am back with a new scintillating entry to the blog.

It seems the whole world is more interested in my dysfunctional bowels than anything else. I mentioned to a friend (Jon in the UK) that I was eating like a horse but only managing to poo like a rabbit and he suggested that I should try eating like a rabbit and I might start pooing like a horse.  Nice one Jon.

Thanks to others who have suggested a whole list of remedies such as dried fruit especially figs, herbal tonics, and a rather strange suggestion involving some sort of suppository - Hmmmm, I'm not that desperate just yet. Thanks to Robyn for recommending 'fibre mini' which she said was the only thing she could find to remove a very stubborn cork - I'm going to give that one a go.

Anyhow, more about Japan...

I am amazed and really pleased with the speed of the internet connection here - Youtube has emerged as an oasis in desert of Japanese TV. Last night we watched episode one of Lead Balloon a BBC comedy with Jack Dee and the whole thing downloaded in a second - awesome!  It's amazing the effect a fast connection makes.

Yesterday we went to Yokohama to watch some fireworks and took the train from Ikebukuro. The speed at which that train moved at times was a little scary although Emma tells me the bullet trains are way faster and we are going to go to Osaka on one apparently which I'm looking forward to.

I have to attend an introduction evening tonight at GABA English school and have to go in business attire. The weather is hot with about 3 million percent humidity - not the sort of weather you'd want to dress up in a suit. I shall get Emma to take a photo of me in it - sweating.
