Sousse, Tunisa 2005
November 1, 2005
No need to go through this day by day. Just a short summary.
Tunisa is an interesting country with a lot of sights. This was not a sight vacation, though, but a package tour. We spent one week with our then one year old daughter at the "Coralia Beach Hotel" in Sousse. Since the city is located just 20 kilometers away from the international airport at Monastir it was the perfect choice for us (short transfer).
Sousse is a vivid city with a lot of restaurants, night clubs, casinos, museums (--> Kasbah) and sport facilities. We went to the Medina (old town) twice and visited the weekly market northeast of the city center. On one day we took the mini-rail to Port El Kantaoui. Although it is a modern tourist complex Port El Kantaoui has been build in a traditional way - quite nice. We visited the marina and had a break at the sea shore. Well, this is not the REAL Tunisia.
