I stayed Zagreb one more night, to see Dolac Market in the morning, meet with a couchsurfer friend to share some PhD experiences and watch the world cup game between Uruguay v. Netherlands.
Dolac Market is a warm place to see local public market culture. It's a very cute image with its red umbrellas. Dolac is not a fruit and vegetables market, but also so many touristic items were selling by gift shops. I need to say that Croatians do not like bargaining which is not kool for me, coz I like bargaining. "Bargain" is an essential part of traditional trade, so don't make me "Price as labeled and indicated" thing. This is so lame! =) We're not in a shopping mall here, right?
Anyways, I found a small shop for me which was owned by a lovely old-lady. Her name was Zehra, and she was just my kinda gift shop owner who you can bargain =).
After that, I did the walking route which we walked on Sunday afternoon, but this time I focused on taking more pictures and catch more details from the landmarks. This is the way to kill some time before the world cup game. I wish Uruguay would won, but Netherlands played better. Sometimes football have some justice, huh? =)
ONE FINAL NOTE: If you wanna see the Dolac Market, you need go there early because they leave at 2pm latest.
